For Sadza
- 1 cup (250ml) white maize meal (cornmeal)
- 4 cups (1 liter) water
- Salt to taste
For Stir Fry
- 500g beef, thinly sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- Soy sauce
- Oyster sauce
- Sesame oil
- Cornstarch
- Salt
- Pepper
For Tomatoe & Onion Salad
- 100g Monty’s Tomato & Onion Mix
- Fresh coriander, chopped
- Lemon juice
- Salt
- Pepper
Method
Sadza
- Boil the Water: Bring the water to a rolling boil in a large pot.
- Add the Cornmeal: Gradually sprinkle the cornmeal into the boiling water, stirring continuously to prevent lumps.
- Cook and Stir: Reduce heat to medium-low and continue stirring until the mixture thickens.
- Season and Serve: Add salt to taste and cook for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the sadza reaches your desired consistency.
Beef Stir Fry
- Marinate the beef slices in soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, salt, and pepper.
- Heat oil in a wok or large skillet.
- Stir-fry the beef until browned.
- Add the onion, garlic, and bell peppers. Stir-fry until softened.
